Silence scares us. It doesn’t seem natural. Sometimes I wonder if we are so afraid of what we might hear in the silence that we refuse to allow it. Or perhaps, we are afraid that we will hear nothing at all.

Our Ministry

Ephesians 5:25-27
"Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless."

Thank you, Jesus, for giving yourself up for us to make us holy. Wash us with the water of your word that we might be presented to you as a radiant church, reflecting you completely in purity and perfection.

Our Mandate
makeusholy
Inviting Renewal through Worship, Prayer and Discipleship

makeusholy is established for the purpose of bringing continued spiritual renewal into the church through worship, discipleship and prayer ministry so that the church will be equipped to meet the challenges and opportunities of its calling, including:
  • Worship team training and development
  • Worship leading and/or speaking
  • Mediation services - re: worship style issues
  • Supporting and working with other ministries
  • Initiating worship and renewal conferences
  • Worship leader mentoring and development
  • Sunday morning worship service evaluation and consultation
  • Worship song writing evaluation and critique
  • Prayer and intercession tools
  • Ongoing contact and follow-up

Our Motivation
  • We believe that God is calling the church to a period of preparation for an end time harvest. We believe that the call is urgent and requires the recruiting and equipping of an "army".
  • We believe that worship, in spirit and truth, will play a central role in the preparation of the those who respond to God's call.
  • We believe that God desires to pour out his Spirit in greater measure. We believe that he is equipping his "army" with spiritual gifts and a passion to serve him.
  • We believe this "army" will need to: be equipped to pray, interceding for the lost and the sleeping; be trained to discern, ask for and openly use and develop spiritual gifts with power, humility, compassion and mercy.

Our Values
  • makeusholy believes God wants to bring renewal to the church through worship, prayer and discipleship. It's more than an issue of posture, lyrics or style -- it's about having a heart of love directed toward God.
  • The emerging church of the 21st century needs to focus on encouraging radical obedience to Christ. makeusholy can help through on-site workshops and teaching seminars on worship philosophy, prayer ministry and discipleship. Through ongoing contact and follow-up we hope to assist churches who are experiencing conflict to reconcile diverse attitudes toward worship and renewal.
  • We believe that God has a deep desire to see every Christian living a life of intimate submission to God through the working of the Holy Spirit. Believers need to be open to the Holy Spirit's leading in dealing with the many different spiritual issues which arise in ministry. The church has significant responsibility in meeting that challenge. makeusholy would like to be a part of that challenge, restoring renewal and worship to the church. We know these are two critical areas in which such a relationship is fostered.
  • God has not changed! He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb 13:8). He desires to draw us closer in intimate relationship with him. He desires to reveal wisdom and knowledge to us so we can best accomplish his purposes. He desires to give us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches and to us. He desires to perfect us through the washing of his word, purifying our hearts and making us holy (Eph 4:25-27).

Our Statement of Faith
  1. WE BELIEVE that the SCRIPTURES of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired, without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice.
  2. WE BELIEVE that there is ONE LIVING and TRUE GOD, eternally existing in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all and governs all.
    1. WE BELIEVE in GOD the FATHER, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love: that he concerns himself mercifully in the affairs of people; that he hears and answers prayer; that he saves from sin and death all who come to him through Jesus Christ.
    2. WE BELIEVE in JESUS CHRIST, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in his virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, his substitutionary atoning death, his literal bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, his perpetual intercession for his people and his personal, visible return to earth in power and glory. We believe that in his first coming Jesus inaugurated the fulfillment of the kingdom of God.
    3. WE BELIEVE in the HOLY SPIRIT, who is sent out from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that he is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the biblical gifts of the Spirit.
  3. WE BELIEVE that all PEOPLE are sinners by nature and choice and are therefore under condemnation; that God regenerates and baptizes by the Holy Spirit those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord.
  4. WE BELIEVE in the universal CHURCH, the living spiritual body, of which Christ Jesus is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.
  5. WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ORDINANCES to the Church: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe in water baptism and communion open to all believers.
  6. WE BELIEVE in the personal, visible, imminent APPEARING OF CHRIST to earth and the consummation of his kingdom; in the RESURRECTION OF THE BODY, the FINAL JUDGMENT and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked.
