We are missing a critical component of worship when we cut off the world from watching us. Worship is not for the church alone, worship is for the world to see. For when the world sees us worship in truth and love, they too will be drawn to praise the God of gods. When God’s people are like “Davids” before the living God, the world sits up and takes notice.

WORSHIP SONG CRITIQUE AND EVALUATION

Worship Song Critique and Evaluation Services

Many young worship leaders are trying their hand at developing the skill of composing worship songs. And sometimes a home-grown song best speaks to the heart of what God is doing in a local congregation. makeusholy encourages new artists and composers to hone that skill so it will become even more useful, effective, creative and beautiful.

Improving song writing skills requires evaluation, critique, rewriting and more rewriting. Tim Bartsch and Gareth Goossen will listen to your worship song and provide constructive critique and suggestions as to how you might improve on the song you've begun. It will be evaluated on the basis of melody, singability, musicality, mood (or feel), theological integrity of lyrics, the marriage of word to melody, etc.

If an arrangement of the song is uploaded (i.e. with a "band", other instrumentation) additional evaluation and constructive critique will be made on the band arrangement, layering, invitational feel (for congregational singing), etc. Suggestions will be made for alternate arrangements, tempos, styles, etc.

The cost for a Worship Song Evaluation and Critique is $50. Simply contact us and we will instruct you as to where to email or upload an MP3 of your song.
